Our basement officially become a man cave when my husband finally found a decently priced old western bar on ebay. It’s from the mid 1800’s and was originally twice as long. Somewhere along the way it was cut in half and stored in a barn. When we picked it up it was in the stone cellar of the town post office in rural Pennsylvania.
My husband refinished it and filled some of the larger cracks on the top and added the brass foot rail. The back bar is new from World Market. We hired a contractor to install a wall to create my photography studio and added two barn doors which allows plenty of light to reach the bar area. We replaced the carpet with vinyl plank flooring. And then my husband and I installed the brick wall over a long weekend.
To finish it off, my husband added his bourbon collection and the iconic Clint Eastwood and I added the neon sign that hung in my grandfather’s basement bar.
