D.C. Digs

Designer: Lisa & Leroy // Photographer: Christy Kosnic

Lisa and Leroy did their magic again in this DC row house. While maintaining the period charm, Lisa’s design team injected sophisticated style for a family and their pooch.

Starting in the foyer, a perfectly sized dresser creates lots of storage in the small entry and a chair offers a quick seat while taking shoes on and off. The living room has a bump out that houses two cozy club chairs - just the spot for the five o’clock cocktail - and a large couch covered in fabric to withstand the family’s beloved yellow lab.

Modern elements like the chandeliers and furnishings complement the period architecture beautifully. The living and dining room are separated by amazing pocket doors. The clean lines of the dining table marry seamlessly with the detailed balustrade. The arch between the entry and staircase offer just a bit of visual separation between the two spaces without taking up precious real estate.
